Irish Claddagh Rings

Home > Irish Gifts > Claddagh Jewelry > Claddagh Rings

As a traditional ring for Ireland the Irish Claddagh ring is a perfect gift to be given to a loved one, maybe a family member or a loved friend. It is also popularly worn by singles seeking love but is traditionally worn differently than a wedding couple. With its strong representation of unity the ring itself sends gives a powerful message about who wears one.

How to wear a claddagh ring

When the ring is worn on the right hand with the design facing outwards, away from the body, it usually represents that person is single and possibly looking for love. When in love with someone the ring would be still worn on the right hand but with the design facing inwards. For someone engaged the ring is worn on the left hand with the design facing outwards, after marriage the ring should be worn on the left with the design facing inwards.

"With my hands I give you my heart, and crown it with my love."
