Irish Celtic Tattoos
Celtic art work dates back over thousands of years and can be found all over Ireland. Celtic design dates back well before the Celts came to Ireland and can also be found all over Europe.
One of the best examples of surviving Celtic artwork is at Newgrange in County Meath. An ancient burial chamber built in rock thats beutifully engraved with Celtic designs. Large stones surround the site that have designs carved all over them.
The orginal designs at Newgrange are typical of the Celtic designs you would see today even in tattoos.
