The 36th World Irish Dancing Championship is currently taking place in Belfast with over 4,000 Irish Dancers taking part.

The participating Irish Dancers are at a highly skilled level with their talent and come from all around the world and have so far been hosted amazingly by the people of Belfast.

Unfortunately two Irish Dancers fell ill from carbon monoxide poisoning who had to withdraw from the championship and return to the United States, as reported by the Belfast Telegraph. -

A friend of mine from New York has taken part in the World Irish Dancing Championships for a number of years and now runs her own Irish Dancing School which is extremely popular in the city of Syracuse. I have seen her kids dance on a number of occasions and I have to admit they are a very talented bunch.
