Vikings in Ireland
If you don’t know much about the Vikings in Ireland then I recommend a read of our Vikings invade Ireland page which gives a brief overview of the events leading up to the invasion and how it turned out for the Vikings, as you probably guessed, not good.
The funny part I find about the Vikings invasion is that they had no clue in what they were in for as it turned out Ireland wasn’t the easiest place to invade. Not only was the Irish fierce fighters but the Irish was also having their own internal battles between clans and somehow managed to get the Vikings involved by creating coalitions which is the main reason the Vikings could never control all of Ireland at once.
