Philip Paul Ognibene September 11th Tribute
When I signed up to the September 11th 2,996 tribute I was requested to make a tribute post for Philip Paul Ognibene, a name that was unknown to me.
Instead of taking a cold approach to this tribute, I wanted to learn more about Philip Paul Ognibene and how he became one of the deceased of September 11th.
I found that Philip Paul Ognibene was 39 and known to his loved ones as Uncle Woody and had grown up in North Babylon. He lived in Manhattan and worked as a trader for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods on the 87th floor of the South Tower.
Philip Paul Ognibene worked in the trade market for 16 years starting his ambitious career with Merrill Lynch working part time. His father claims that Philip started reading the Wall Street Journal at a very young age and loved the trade market.
On the terrible day of September 11th Philip contacted his mother and father after the first plane hit the North tower to let them both know that he was ok. 67 employees of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods became missing that day.

I’ve been reading tributes today and the further along I go, the sadder I’ve become. All of these people were loved and missed. Thank you for helping bring Philip (or Uncle Woody) to light.
