PC TEL Jumps For Cheap Labour
Within the next couple of months I am getting prepared to move back to Ireland and need to a find a job before I make the transition back from the States.Over the past ages now I have been following the move on the employment and the all too familiar pattern occurring with new jobs being announced followed by jobs being lost.
The latest jobs loss being reported is by PC TEL who is letting 80 jobs go at the Finglas site in Ireland. PC Tel are a company based out of Chicago and are blaming costs being the main reason of closing the site and moving to eastern Europe.
Companies such as PC TEL, NEC Electronics, Quantum are using cost as a lame excuse and should really say what we see as the reason, profits. After all PC TEL on their website make it a point to state “PCTEL has more than $50 million in cash, and no debt.”
With the likes of Google and Amazon expanding it isnt all that bad or is it?

The above comment was sent to me from a employee of PCTel based in Ireland.
By the sounds of it the employees are expecting a huge kick in teeth.
I have removed his/her name and email address for specific reasons.
