Irelands head in the sand
So is it true the Irish Government is ‘burying their heads in the sand’ regarding Shannon Airport being used by the United States to transfer terrorist suspects as Amnesty International stated?
From what it states on RTE the Irish government is going on the word of the US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice who gave assurances about everyone’s concerns.
Correct me if I am wrong but didn’t they feed us BS regarding WMD’s in Iraq? And now our government believes them regarding these flights. I suppose grants, jobs and contracts are more important to our Irish leaders.
