What is it with Dublin and burglar alarms? It seems there are always alarms going off and to be honest it really is driving me insane. Suffering from a bad hangover today the three different alarms that have been ringing for the past hour is not helping me to recover.

Last week a co-worker and myself where moaning about the burglar alarms going off beside the office which is located in a residential area of Dublin. During the conversation, one alarm decided to kick off which was no surprise as it happens on a daily basis. Looking out the window, we seen a member of the Garda Siochana walk up to the house that had the alarm going off, he looked up at the alarm and checked the front door. Amazingly, PC Plod walked off without checking the side, back of the house, or without contacting anyone about the alarm!

It would seem these burglar alarms are a total waste of money for they do not seem to motivate the Garda in doing anything about alarms going off.
