Album Description Celtic Thunder Act Two, the companion to Celtic Thunder (which sold over 150,00 CDs and DVDs combined) musically completes the collection of songs that have been included in one of the most successful PBS programs ever. Celtic Thunder Two includes an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the Moody Blues classic Nights In White Satin, Paul McCartney's Mull Of Kintyre to the classic Danny Boy. The ensemble numbers on Celtic Thunder Two reflect the power of the vocalists, who range in age from 14 to 40, and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.

Quality Followup to "Act 1" September 17, 2008 Elizabeth G. (Midwestern United States) 37 out of 39 found this review helpful
As the name implies, this CD is in many ways an Act II given that it completes the collection of songs presented in the DVD. But it also includes "extra" songs (Danny Boy, Christmas 1915, Castles in the Air, and extended Heartland). The songs are enjoyable for a wide audience given the vocal ranges and age-appropriate solos which tend to cause listeners to find a favorite within the group. The ensemble pieces are truly remarkable as well. This is a great CD for almost any music fan and your money couldn't be going to a better, kinder, group of lads!
Amazingly Beautiful! September 18, 2008 Paw Print (USA) 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
I didn't think Act 2 could possibly be better than the original, but I was wrong. This is amazing. Completes the songs from the DVD, as well as "extras", especially Christmas 1915. Just astounding. I can't stop listening to it! All the 'guys' are at the top of their game in this one! Go for it!!!
Absolutely Wonderful! September 20, 2008 Sphynxmom (Pennsylvania) 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
I have Celtic Thunder's first CD and Celtic Thunder The Show (DVD), so I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this, their second CD. I absolutely LOVE this CD! The songs are fantastic and their voices are breathtaking. This is my favorite CD in my collection ... I play it every single day and never get tired of listening to it. If you buy this CD, believe me, you won't regret it. The songs will touch you in a way you can't imagine.
Eloquent Music At Its Finest! December 29, 2008 Emily C. Smith (United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I first saw this Celtic group of five young men perform on PBS television. Shortly thereafter, to my great surprise and excitement, they came to Spokane, WA for a live performance. How could I NOT purchase their DVD show and both of their CD's? Their musical talent and gifted voices are absolutely brilliantly expressive and totally captivating! The songs flow effortlessly from one to the next and you'll find youself humming and singing them yourself long after Celtic Thunder has left the stage. Several songs, 'The Mountains of Mourne,' 'Heartland,' 'Brothers in Arms,' 'Caledonia,' and the 'Mull of Kintyre,' transports your heart and senses to a country filled with tranquil, low-rolling hills and green, misty valleys where ocean waves lap the sandy shore long after the final bagpipe has been played! I had no idea Paul McCartney (my personal favorite of The Beatles) wrote and sang 'Mull of Kintyre' years ago - and Celtic Thunder performs this and all of the other hand-picked songs with a unique and intensely satisfying blend of musical harmony. The artistry in each voice is so magically different in nature yet when the group performs as a whole their voices converge with a truly rare, high quality sound. THIS is music at its finest! My best regards to Phil Coulter and Sharon Browne for bringing this group together! I look forward to many more excellent and captivating performances in the future.
Simply Amazing... September 20, 2008 T. Edwards (Central NJ) 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
Celtic Thunder is back with another stellar compilation of traditional Celtic and contemporary music spanning the highs and lows of Celtic life. Just as the debut CD, Celtic Thunder blends the mixture of 5 masterful male voices ranging in ages from 16 to 40. This CD will touch any music lover who appreciates heartfelt music performed by multi-talented musicians. Although all the songs are brilliant, some favorites include "That's a Woman", "Danny Boy", "Castles in the Air", "Nights in White Satin" and "Caledonia". Celtic Thunder will be embarking on a 50-city US tour beginning 10/3/08 under the musical direction of Phil Coulter. There is truly something for everyone in a Celtic Thunder performance and Act Two continues that tradition. It is music that takes you on a journey and leaves you wanting another ride...Bravo CT!!!
